Joseph Molnar discusses scanR

In this interview from QCon San Francisco 2008, Joseph Molnar discusses scanR, choosing .Net for scanR, the architecture of scanR, working with mobile carriers, scaling, challenges which were encountered, .Net components and libraries used, major problems encountered and their solutions, managing scanR, and what would be done differently if scanR was rewritten from scratch.

Joseph Molnar is a Partner Architect in the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft, and previously was Vice President of Engineering for mobile startup scanR. scanR is a global service which turns physical and digital documents into usable information made accessible wherever and whenever needed. As well as managing scanR's implementation, Mr. Molnar was scanR's chief software architect.
