In the third part of the screen cast series, Sun developer Arun Gupta shows how a reliable and interoperable Web service can be developed and invoked using NetBeans IDE and WSIT plug-in. This screencast also shows how WSIT plugin can be manually installed in NetBeans.

Read more about this video…

Want to control this feed contents? Sign up here and create your own feed!

Want more on these topics?
Browse the archive of posts filed under Technologies, Companies, Development, Broadcasting, Web Services, IBM, Java, Screencasts

Zend Framework Screencast: QEDWiki from Zend and IBM

QEDWiki is one of the most sophisticated applications to have been built on top of the Zend Framework so far. It is an “application wiki,” which extends the wiki concept to allow users to drag and drop application elements onto a wiki page. These elements connect through web services and the result is a composite application that solves a real business need. The Zend Framework home page on to describe the project.

IBM and Zend have an ongoing partnership to foster PHP development, and this is just one example of how they are working together. Much of the code that IBM has developed for QEDWiki is in the process of being given back to the community in the form of contributions to the Zend Framework. The widgets themselves are PHP classes that are executed via AJAX to render themselves. Most of the widgets used in the demos have both a design-time and a run-time rendering. Check out this impressive demonstration by Stewart Nickolas and learn more about the QEDWiki.

Read more about this video…

Want to control this feed contents? Sign up here and create your own feed!

Want more on these topics?
Browse the archive of posts filed under Web 2.0, Technologies, Companies, Development, Broadcasting, Frameworks, AJAX, Web Services, IBM, PHP, Screencasts, Zend Framework
