PS Quicktips Episode 65: Color Change

This week we'll be heading back into Photoshop CS3 in order to achieve a very cool look on our digital photos. The look we get with this technique is very unique and leaves a lot of room for customization.

There are several techniques out there that are similar to this one, but I believe this to be the superior method because all of the effects we've done to this photograph are completely non-destructive and customizable!

PS Quicktips Episode 47: Clip it Good

In this week’s episode we take a break from the CS3 "exclusive" content and get back into a creative mindset using clipping masks. This is a very popular technique that is used in all sorts of magazine ads, posters, invitations, and book covers. You’ll learn how to quickly "clip" your photographs into your text layer to create a very eye-catching effect, without harming any pixels in the image and keeping your text live and editable.

I’ve had several requests to create more content that will work in ALL versions of Photoshop and not just CS3. After some serious thinking I think I have a solution that will please everyone. I am going to do my best to create tutorials that apply to most versions of Photoshop (CS2, CS, and maybe even 7), however I cannot promise that I won’t have any CS3 specific content on the show at all. That being said, whenever I do cover a CS3 specific technique, I will (if at all possible) show how to achieve the same effect using older versions of Photoshop as well. This will make some episodes a little bit longer, but I think this is the overall best solution to the CS3 specific issues we’ve been having lately.

I know this sounds weird for someone to have an infatuation with this particular dialog box but if you look closely, you'll see noticeable and time-saving improvements.No longer do we have to bother with the option of Print vs. Print with Preview. This truly is a one-stop shop for printing.
